At 29x29x30mm, the Flea®2 is even smaller than the original Flea camera and is designed to have the form factor of similar industry standard analog cameras. The 800Mb/s interface enables full frame rate RGB image transmission and even more cameras on the same bus. The IEEE-1394b cable with jack screws allows a more secure connection to the camera.

The
fully redesigned, next generation Flea3 camera series builds on the success
of the ultra-compact Flea2 by adding new Sony image sensors to the line-up
and a choice of IEEE 1394b (FireWire) or GigE Vision digital interface.
Measuring just 29 x 29 x 30 mm and weighing only 58 grams, the Flea3 has
the same small, lightweight form factor as many industry-standard “ice
cube” analog cameras. The Flea3 also offers a host of new features, including
enhanced opto-isolated GPIO; an on-camera frame buffer; non-volatile user
data storage; new trigger modes; and improved imaging performance. Series
production of the first FireWire models will begin at the end of 2009,
and the first GigE Vision models will be introduced at the end of Q2 2010.
The Grasshopper™ IEEE-1394b digital camera line offers a large selection of high resolution, high sensitivity sensors and an ultra fast 800Mb/s digital interface. Attractive pricing makes these powerful cameras ideal for OEMs and system integrators who need compact systems that deliver 0.3M, 1.4M, 2.0M or 5.0M images at high frame rates. The
fully redesigned Grasshopper2 camera series is the next generation version
of the high performance Grasshopper and offers users a choice of IEEE
1394b (FireWire) or GigE Vision digital interface. The Grasshopper2 uses
the same form factor as the existing Grasshopper and a selection of the
same image sensors, and adds several new features, including enhanced
opto-isolated general purpose I/O and improved imaging performance. Series
production of the first Grasshopper2 models will begin at the end of
Q1 2010.
The
new Grasshopper Express camera series features a completely new hardware
platform designed to accommodate a wide range of high speed quad-tap
Kodak and Sony image sensors. The Grasshopper Express is housed in the
same compact metal case as the original Grasshopper, and users can choose
between an IEEE 1394b (FireWire) and SuperSpeed USB 3.0 digital interface.
The camera also comes complete with a variety of new features, including
enhanced opto-isolated GPIO, new hardware trigger modes, and improved
imaging performance. Series production of the first FireWire models will
begin at the end of Q1 2010, and the first USB 3.0 model is estimated
to be available at the end of Q3 2010.
The
new Gazelle series of Camera Link cameras delivers an unsurpassed combination
of size, speed, and price. The Gazelle is based on the same compact form
factor as the popular Grasshopper camera and is designed to accommodate
a large selection of high resolution, high frame rate image sensors.
Series production of the first Gazelle models will begin at the end of
Q1 2010.
The
Giraffe is a new board-level remote head camera intended for high volume
OEM applications that require one or more customized image sensor “heads”
to be mounted in a small space or unique position. The Giraffe consists
of a standardized main board with both USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394b interfaces
and a highly configurable remote head that can be customized for each
customer to meet varying image sensor, board size, cable length, and
optics requirements. Series production of a sample camera configuration,
intended for prototyping purposes, will begin at the end of Q2 2010.

high resolution Ladybug®3 spherical digital video camera system has six

The
FirePRO LDR (long distance repeater), designed and manufactured by Point
Grey Research, is the world’s first repeater to use a GigE physical layer
to transport FireWire data using GigE signalling, allowing IEEE 1394b
800 Mb/s data to be transmitted in real-time over 100 meters of standard
Category 5e cable. This enables users to construct a dependable, high-speed
FireWire-based network of multiple cameras that is physically separated
by up to 100 meters from the host system. Like other FirePRO hubs and
