
Atmospheric pressure plasma is suitable for a wide range of applications. Primarily, however, the systems are intended for local pretreatment of different surfaces, e.g. cleaning and activation of polymers, metals, ceramic, glass and hybrid materials. But the Plasma Jet process can also be used for coating. Thanks to their unique design, atmospheric pressure plasma systems by Diener electronic are suitable for use with robots and for integration in existing, automated production lines.
With atmospheric plasma technology, gas is excited by means of a high voltage at atmospheric pressure, such that a plasma is ignited. The plasma is expelled by compressed air from the nozzle. Two plasma effects are differentiated:
- Activation and ultra-fine cleaning is carried out by the reactive particles contained in the plasma jet.
- Active gas jet accelerated by compressed air which additionally removes loosely adherent particles from the surface.
By changing the process parameters such as treatment speed and distance to substrate surface, the treatment results can be influenced.
The atmospheric plasma processor PlasmaBeam is mainly used for local pretreatment of different surfaces (cleaning, activation):

The PlasmaBeam is suitable for robots and can be installed in existing, automated production lines without great effort.
All our plasma machines are Cold Plasma that uses Room Temperature Pressurized air as a Medium for the Plasma activation.
